What is passion?

Passion is the thing that drives you to keep going.111

This is my own definition of passion. It motivates you to keep moving forward until you reach success. Passion is something innate within all of us that should be unlocked and discovered in our own ways. We might have many talents, skills, interests, and hobbies but in some point of these all falls into one category: passion.

I would like to point out the other definitions of passion according to various sources and authority:

Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.

                                                                                    – Oprah Winfrey

A strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something.

                                                                                   Merriam Dictionary

 Passion is the energy that comes from bringing more of you into what you do.

                                                                                   -The M.A.P. Maker

As for my own definition of passion, as well as those above mentioned personalities, we all agree to the following:

Passion is an energy that fuels you to do what you want;

Passion is a feeling that gives you satisfaction; and

Passion is a discovery from within a human’s existence.

You should work into discovering whatever it is you desire to do which gives you satisfaction, contentment and self-fulfillment. Being able to do the things that excited you and motivates you will go a long way into acting as a drive for you to pursue and finish what you really want to achieve and attain in life. As long as it will result to holistic development of the self, you should take on various activities and activities that will benefit you and contribute to your knowledge, in one way or another. You might discover what you are passionate about just by agreeing to do things and discover new characteristics about yourself that you haven’t yet seen before.

How about you, what is passion for you?
