By categorizing your tasks, you will be required to rack your mind about all the things that you should be accomplishing according to your categories, from work, home, family, social life, or personal things.

Set appropriate time for each task.

You should not stop at just identifying your tasks and knowing which ones should be accomplished first. You should also remember to give each one of them the appropriate amount of time needed to finish each at their needed time. You should not only set a date for a task’s accomplishment, but you should also indicate how much time you’re going to give to doing the actual work to finish it. You should include in your schedule the specific days and time that you should allot to accomplishing each and every one of your tasks. You should not stop at just setting a deadline. You should put the specific amount of time you will need to finish them all.

Be realistic.

In prioritizing your work, you should keep in mind that you still need time to relax and take a break. You should incorporate this in your schedule so that you will be able to stick to it and not let your tasks pile up. This way, you can ensure that you will follow through and finish all your tasks on time.
